MyOn Summer Reading Contest

This past summer MyON held a summer reading contest to challenge students to spend more time reading.

Three winners were recognized at the September 11th board meeting for their extraordinary efforts. A.P. Solis Middle School had the student who read the most in the entire district, 8th grader Danielle Taruwinga. She read over 3,000 minutes over her summer break. A.P. Solis understands that reading is a vital skill that every child needs to develop and grow and we celebrate the successes of all of our students.

Other winners include a student from Todd Middle School with just over 2,000 minutes and then a student from Munoz with just under 1,000 minutes.
